In the last four years, teeth whitening has become one of the most
popular treatments for patients aware of the cosmetic aspects of their
oral health in some of the major London cosmetic dental practices. At Drury Lane Dental Care , we
have carried out over 5000
teeth whitening procedures, and gathered enough data to reveal
which ones of them are worth your time and money and deliver the
best results. 1. Zoom Teeth Whitening
Zoom Teeth Whitening is by far the most effective and safest teeth
bleaching system. The basics are very simple, in just one hour
appointment the combination of the 44% concentration carbamide
peroxide gel and the Zoom UV laser lamp deliver a brilliant 8 shades
whiter. All this with minimum discomfort and of course no time
consuming at-home teeth bleaching trays which you would need to
wear for weeks in order to achieve the same results. At Drury Lane Dental Care we have
calculated that a 15 minute Zoom Whitening application on your teeth,
is the equivalent of 60 full minutes of whitening with the same gel
when used without the light. The full procedure consists of 3
applications which would the equivalent of 180 minutes of whitening
with a 44% Carbamide Peroxide gel at home, which by the way can't be
purchased over the counter with or without a prescription because it
can only be used by a certified and trained dental professional. The gel is so powerful that it would burn your soft tissues in just a
matter of minutes if they were not protected by the dentist prior to
starting the treatment. The aftercare is simple: Once the gel is removed, the surface pores of your enamel have been
cleaned and are "empty" of stains and residues, so, as long as you stick
to white foods only for a period of 48 hours your teeth will remain
white for quite a long time. Imagine your tiny surface pores as a recently painted white wall, you
surely wouldn't want to throw yellow, brown and black paintballs at
your recently painted wall right? Well, in a way your teeth are the same,
however once the "paint" is dry, you can eat anything you want (within
reason of course!) and enjoy a white smile for a long time. We usually recommend all our patients to take a

whitening kit home with them and use it as when needed. Nitewhite is
manufactured by the same company that patented Zoom Teeth
Whitening and works exactly in the same way. The only differences
between the two systems are: Nitewhite uses a 22% concentration
hydrogen peroxide gel and comes without a UV light, which is
completely unnecessary if you have had a Zoom Teeth Whitening
treatment recently done! From a personal experience, having had the treatment three times I can
say with a moderate level of confidence that by far, Zoom Teeth
Whitening is one of the best systems I have ever tried. Suffering from
sensitive teeth I must say that I did feel some discomfort during the
treatment, however it was completely tolerable. The results were great,
my teeth went whiter than the promised 8 shades, so white that I had
